Takata recall I have a Ford Ranger 2 seater, the passenger airbag is defective. I was notified in December 2017 in a letter from Ford Motor Company that in part stated do not allow anyone to sit in the first row passenger seat.I have not allowed anyone to sit in passenger seat since I received this letter though I have been asked to give ride. I have family members having health and personal issues who could call me at anytime needing transportation to a health facility. Is there anything you are able to help me resolve this issue? I look forward to hearing from you.

Takata recall: I received notice of the recall and took action. However, the service department at bill pierre's Ford stated that replacement parts have not been made available by the manufacturer. They did not know when the parts would be available. I am submitting this complaint as proof that I've followed up and taken reasonable action to fix the faulty and dangerous airbags in my 2011 Ford Ranger. I'm attaching a picture of the title to show the specific vehicle.

I was told over 2 years ago that my takata air bag (passenger side) would be replaced by my nearest Ford dealer at no charge to me. To this date they claim that they are unable to get the replacement parts after several attempts to contact them. I have a disabled husband that needs to ride in the passenger side of my 2011 Ford Ranger due to that is the only vehicle we own. He needs to attend doctors appointments and I am his only form of transportation to get to them.

Takata recall: Ford sent my 1st letter in July 2016. In Dec 2017 I received a letter telling me to not let anyone ride in my passenger seat until they resolve the issue. This is not possible since my vehicle is a 2 seat vehicle and often requires more than 1 passenger. I tried to contact Ford for a solution such as disengaging the airbag or providing me a rental car. They would void the warranty and recall if I had the airbag disabled and refused a rental car. Since this is my only vehicle that often requires more than one passenger I am not able to resolve the year and half only delayed recall? the companies solution does not allow for me to use my vehicle with danger of injury (passenger in the passenger seat) or financial burden (rental car).

Takata airbags I received a letter today (12/22/2017) from Ford informing me to not allow anyone to sit in the front passenger seat. This is a 2 seat pickup truck which means I can not use this vehicle with anyone but myself. How am I supposed to use this to Transport family members ? this recall was issued on June of 2016 which is 18 months ago. Why is Ford being allowed to put off fixing a safety defect for 18 months and is now telling owners they can't have anyone else in the vehicle but the driver. This is my second email regarding this recall the first was submitted in may of 2017, I heard nothing back from the ntsb regarding my first complaint. This latest update from Ford is an outrage which basically leaves me with a vehicle that I cannot use to Transport family members. With no remedy from Ford see the 'warning' section from the letter in the image attached

Takata recall = was informed to have passenger airbag replaced at dealership free of charge. When contacting dealership, they continue to tell me that replacement parts have not been made available and to call tk holdings. Tk holdings toll free number only gives instructions on how to file an electronic claim as a result of death or injury. Also contacted NHTSA toll free line and they too only provide info on filing a claim before deadline date of Dec 27. No is able to repair my vehicle, nor tell any kind of timeframe as to when parts will be available for repair. This is quite stressful knowing any passengers in my vehicle is at risk, yet no one seems to be making any kind of attempt to assist me!

"takata recall" it has been 1 1/2 years since I received notice that my drivers side air bag needs to be replaced. No action to date. For a year and one-half I have been the only one (the driver) who can ride in my truck. We can not us this truck for anything that involves to people and I hear nothing for the dealer or Ford Motor Co. I can't sell it knowing that someone would have to do through what I am going on. It like my problem has gone to "never, never, land". the problem is in motion on city or highway.
