Hi Everyone

1.On the 19 of January 2016 on my way to work on Eufees road the warning light came on om my dash .I looked on my heat gauge and wonder what is the problem my Ford Ranger 3.2 4x4 XLT model 2013 suddenly after 1-2 min later my engine lost power,,,,, drivers passing made me aware that smoke and steam is coming form my engine compartment. I then switch the vehicle of and got out of my vehicle for my own safety.

My car was then pick up by my insurance Alexander Forbes and towed my vehicle to Ford Hatfield the closest branch were it stayed for week. I made contact with the service agent a couple of times. the agent could not give me a straight answer . After numerous phone calls the agent of Hatfield ford said that the technician explained after his assessment that a recall pipe was never replased as per the Fords the bulletin and this replacement was ignored by Ford Allen Ross in Wonder boom as should be part of their liability.

My Vehicle was then towed to Allen Ross Ford dealership after it was arranged with Ford Hatfield for a engine warranty replacement by Ford Allen Ross.

On the next day the service manager contacted me of Allen Ross Ford dealership and said that my services was not done fully ,, that the pipe that burst is not part of the recall.

Funny after Ford Hatfield agreed that the pipe that was not replaced is the actual cause witch damage my engine. It seems to me that the Ford dealership is trying to make use of my engine warranty plan at Moto Mend to save them cost but in actual fact the liability should be with them their cost and not the engine warranty of our insurance.

I have contacted Ford Customer Care on 0860011022 with regards to the above and requested that the matter should and has to be investigated. to replace my entire engine. REF:600046847

Currently I'm sitting out with transport to work at home for 2 weeks and ford just replied that their is no Courtesy car so their is no service at all to assist their client .

But before you purchase the ford you are being treated with respect and dignity look at me is this how you want to be treated when something happens to you car . I don't think so !!!!

Off all the cars that I have purchase over the years,,,,,this is the first time that I know of were a ford engine is totalled after just only 111000 Km due to a pipe burst . Really everybody im disappointed with Ford and their service and this for Leading Brand in South-Africa.

Ford SA Should step in Here

Regards
