Had the car in the shop for repairs for poor fuel economy and the maintenance manual said to replace the PCV valve at 100,000 or so. I had 97,000 so I asked them to look at it. They said the PCV valve was fine, but the hose to it was cracked and bad.

After taking the car to the shop complaining the fuel economy was bad they said there were not codes showing or lights on. I bought fuel injector cleaner and put it in my tank with a fill-up of fuel. Within a day, the check engine light was on and this was found. Since replacement the fuel economy has increased back to what it was when I bought the car new.
