Taurus ES 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

I bought the car with 15,000 miles on it in 2005. By 2007, a part that goes to the transmission went out and I got stuck on the interstate. In 2011 the catalytic converters are bad and the car smokes and burns and cannot be driven. I took the car back to a Ford dealer in the town I live in and was given an estimate of $3000 to fix it. I said you must be kidding. I had the car maintained properly. I should not have to pay this kind of money for repairs. They make some of these cars to look good on the outside but the parts are cheap. I should have listened to a friend of mine who said Ford means a car found on the road dead. I will never buy another Ford. How could they build a car that cost $3000 to fix a problem like this?

My daughter left work to pick up from work and I get a call that my exhaust system drop from my vehicle, so it had to be towed to the shop closes to her. When I got my vehicle back the radio was fading in and out and the check engine light started come back on again and the check transmission light continue to come on. I took it to be check and the code that I was given was 02 sensors need to be check and other problems.

I believe in buying domestic however I believe in a company standing buy a long time buyer to use common sense and good business practice. First off I sold at a Fords at a Ford dealership for ten years i have sent friends and family into Ford dealerships to buy their products. I used ford credit to finance 4 of my cars. Then I am driving this (Ford) Taurus and kept up the maintenance and before the 100k tune up interval even has happened the engine started to idle rough the engine light came on I took it immediately to a mechanic to find out somehow with no pre warning no nothing that my three Catalytic converters are ruined which will cost between 2600 and 3000 and they stated that this caused the intake manifold to go bad another 500 dollar charge and most places can not get the parts for the exhaust since the car is so new. I called Ford motor company for assistance explaining in a common sense way that this is undo burden placed upon me I bought the car for ten thousand now 2 years later I have a charge of more then 40% of the price i paid for the car yes i am just out of the 80,000 mile warranty but after talking to the many mechanics about the problem they recommended i called ford because this is just a bad engine and is not something that should have happened with regular maintenance. What did Ford do had a person who trys to sound like a robot tell me no in a way any rational person would not be able to understand no.They built a product that gave me no warning about a problem but as soon as the light came on it was too late and how it was engineered the parts and labor are so expensive they burden anyone that dares to purchase there products well i thought it was foreign cars that cost alot to fix not anymore it is american cars and not only that but they also go bad and wait then when you a loyal customer go to explain this you get the door slammed in your face by some over paid retard and they wonder why there stock is in the gutter too many people like me that could be on there side that they push away to toyota well here we go put one more future consumer for toyota up there hard for me to even say what a sad day it is i hope they find a way besides selling cars to pay the bloated salaries of all their workers well let me go on record when not if but when you do go belly up ford I hope and pray and will write my senator for the government not to help any further with your companies mess what happened to a time when customer service meant something and people went above and beyond to help those people that made them profits well i will tell everyone i know ford is the worst maker of vehicles and worst company to deal with and it won't be a lie and once again one thing obvious to look at is their stock speaks volumes
