Wipers continue to operate (at lowest delay setting), even though the switch is turned off. Only way to stop them is to remove the relay, then hope it doesn't start raining.

This same problem happened 1.5 years ago when the multi-switch was replaced under warranty. Taking the car into the dealership next week (now will not be covered by warranty). I believe the cost of the multi-switch is approximately $200 (Canadian), not including labor. Should I be expecting to pay and go through this head ache every year and a half? I have been told that when you purchase an OEM Ford replacement part, it has a 2 year, unlimited mileage warranty. However, if Ford pays to replace this under warranty, it is only good for 3 months! Shouldn't a part be warrantied for a set time period no matter who had to pay for it?

My windshield wipers will not turn off. I have taken it to the dealership on several occasions to see if there was a "recall". I was told there is no recall. The cost to get this fix because I no longer have a warranty is 600.00. Ford need to look into this issue. I have went on line and seen where other Ford drivers are or have experienced the same problem. I will never purchase or recommend anyone ever purchasing a FORD!!!
