I am the 2nd owner of my '93 Ford tempo and have driven this car for 4.5 years without a sniff of a problem of any kind. Then out of the blue without any warning my fuel pump quit in the middle of traffic and left me stranded with my 2 small dogs 5 o'clock in the afternoon, minus 30 degrees Celsius, 60miles from home. Lucky for me my good friend and neighbor is a mechanic and was able to load my car and bring it home 3 days later and put in a new fuel pump. My cost was his fuel for the pick up and the cost of the fuel pump. The inconvenience was horrific as I live in a small, very small community 15 miles to the closest town and was without a vehicle for 2 weeks..

The car ran like a charm for 6 weeks then once again the fuel pump went. Once again extremely lucky. I had a friend with me who has an AMA card so it cost me nothing to get my car home. Problem is... should I put in another fuel pump or get rid of the car?

Fuel pump stopped functioning. Replaced it and tested sytem. It worked for 2 weeks then quit. Replaced it again. Put car on tester and nothing was wrong. It ran for 2 weeks and quit. Car wont start because it is not getting fuel. Mechanics aren't sure what problem is. Replaced Injector and cleaned the other 3.. after first time it quit... I can't find anybody who knows what is wrong.
