Really concerned about the Lift Gate situation. Mine just stopped working - I hit the unlock button - started to raise the lift gate and it seemed extremely heavy as it wouldn't raise - I had to lift it myself and hold it up while trying to load bags. I found a recall on the lift gate for 2011 GMC Acadia (with gas lifts) - so if those are problematic, would mine be as well. I am trying to find out if there are numerous complaints regarding the lift gate on the 2011 Acadia. In my opinion this should be addressed in the event there are enough complaints to warrant a recall.. Love my Acadia, but this is dangerous and well as aggravating as hell!!!!!

The automatic lift gate just decided to stop working without warning and came crashing down after I pushed button on remote. It went up when I started to load my groceries, it made an awful noise and I jumped out of the way and then it came down, however later that day it came crashing down on my husband's head, he fell to the ground, thankfully it was not one of my children, they could have been killed.
