Sierra 1500

  • Automatic transmission
  • 38,000 miles

I have been driving GMC/Chevy my whole life. Purchased this vehicle with 18000 miles on it. Battery went out at 25000 miles, windshield wiper fluid pump problem at 26000 miles, several spark plug wires broke 25000-30000, AC been in shop 3 times for smelling like mildew/mold every time truck is cranked, transmission seems to slip at times, AND NOW THE FREAKING AC HAS STOPPED WORKING AT 38000 MILES!!!! I AM BEYOND DISAPPOINTED... The fact that they are not warranting/recalling the AIR CONDITIONER is absolutely ridiculous!

Sierra 1500 Denali 6.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 83,572 miles

I have been a GMC guy since I was a very young man, and have WANTED a Denali Truck since it first came out, I think it was 1999. Here I am with the very truck, A 2014 Sierra Denali w/ 6.2. Dream come True! NOT!! I have owned several trucks before this, Only to make me want the Denali even more. Sooo Disappointed, for the money that was spent on such a NICE truck (I thought).

1st issue: 1 month old, less than 1000 mile, Leaking Driver Side Door, Attempted repairs unsuccessful 3 times, still leaking and much worse now

2nd Issue: Power steering, at +/- 22000 miles. went out while i was coming back from a camping trip in the mountains, warranty covered this, electrical issue ECM. this happened on a twisty mountain road in mid corner. absolutely no steering capabilities, had to have towed to shop left the whole family waiting on the side of the road waiting for over 2 hrs, luckily I was driving and not the wife.

3rd Issue: Broken Valve Spring, 47872 miles. again warranty covered this.

4th issue: 2 days after the Recall on the power steering unit, +/- 53000 Power steering goes out AGAIN, This time Stranded in Texas in the Middle of the desert, 100+ degrees. sitting in the middle of the lease road, had to use every ounce of strength I had to turn the wheel just enough to get it off the road. In Doing so messed up the Rack and Pinion, that whole thing ended up costing me $2314.00, because the recall didn't cover the rack and pinion. Almost 2 weeks with out my truck as I had to wait for parts and service.

5th issue: Dead Battery, Truck draining power from the battery while parked. dash light coming on while locked and off, NO keys in the ignition, Not fixed as I am currently out of warranty.

6th Issue: A/C not working. leaking from hose and schrader valve, Replaced same and caps. still leaking and no AC.

I SHOULD HAVE STARTED OUT WITH THIS AS THE 1ST ISSUE: I bought a GMC. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED IN SERVICE AND THE TRUCK! WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER GMC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sierra 1500 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 74,000 miles

I purchase my 2014 GMC Sierra in March of 2014 and since then have had to have the AC condenser to compressor hose changed three times due to pin hole leaks and the upper hose changed once. Naturally this problem began after my general warranty expired, GM has definately know about this issue due to the newest hose coming with a bracket. I am on the road two hours a day to and from work and this problem is getting irritating. I have easy care extended warranty which does not cover hoses......only mechanical

I am very irritated at this point and considering buying a Ford for my next truck. Oh I can't buy a Ford they prefer sending manufacturing to Mexico. GM you took our bailout money and you also have very unhappy customers at this point. What will you do about?
