Can not believe that the rusting brake and fuel lines on the GMC & Chevy pickups have not triggered a recall!!!!!!!!

And where is the NHTSB on this issue?

I have just discovered all the brake lines on my 2005 GMC Sierra are severely rusted and need to be replaced. The dealer wants $2500 to do the replacement. If that wasn't enough, the master cylinder and right front hub went at the same time. Also the right front caliper froze up. I maintain the truck well even though I use it hard on the farm. It has basically been trouble free until it hit 100,000 and all hell broke loose. I'm totally disappointed in the vehicle because I've had great GMCs in the past. It's worth much less on a trade, so I'm stuck doing the work. Problem is, I can't get custom made lines so they have to be taken off and new lines bent to the shape. What a mess, I'm hotter than the weather is here in NJ at the moment and to top it off I'm crippled with arthritis. Wonderful. Thanks for letting me rant
