Sierra 2500 Denali 6.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 75,000 miles

The dash has a 7" split and cracked on drivers side along with passenger side between vents. I had to drill a small hole into dash to stop it from cracking more. The whole dash rattles so I have to put a folded piece of paper into dash to stop squeaks.

1500.00 for new dash cost +12 hours of labor if wanted it replaced.

This dash matches the cheap plastic door handles that snap off and cost 250.00 to replace them as they pull out of door socket. It's nice that I have a lot of money in this truck - it's a Denali and its worse than a plain gmc. Way to go GM on not covering any of the issues on these trucks.

dash cracked dash cracked

One of GM’s top of the line vehicles, fully loaded all the extras and this is the best they can do as far as the dash. We paid good money, worked hard to get the best. And now it looks like CRAP. I also believe that this is a safety hazard. I have heard of this happening to other people and I decided to file a complaint. I have lost count of how many Chevrolet’s and or GM’s I have owned over the years this is the first problem I’ve had. My dash is cracked on drivers side and continues to grow and on the passenger side which is now about 1.5”s in length. The dash rattles and is very annoying. This should be an embarrassment to GM, Especially if they want return customers. This should be taken care of or I and many others will start looking at other manufacturers. My fathers 1st car was a 1964 Chevy Impala Station Wagon, when he sold it in 2000 it was still like new. Doesn’t General Motors take any pride in their products any more?

Sierra 2500 Denali HD 6.6L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 39,119 miles

I purchased the supposedly top of the line 2013 GMC Denali HD pickup for $76,xxx.xx and after 39,xxx miles the dash above the passenger airbag cracks. So I bring it to the Chevy dealership in Marble Falls TX because I also purchased the $2,700.00 dollar 100,000 mile warranty and GM say we don't cover that. However GM will pay a portion of the bill to replace the dash because it happens so frequently. The Dealership in Marble Falls charges me $118.00 for a diagnostic fee. How is any of this situation "professional grade".

This truck as been garage kept since the day I bought it and it is washed and waxed every two weeks. The dash has only been wiped down with a damp cloth as per the instructions in the owners manual. What happens now if I get in an accident? Is my wife or son in the passenger seat going to get a piece of plastic in their face if I get in an accident and the airbag goes off If they do who is responsible for that?
