Vehicle was delivered to me with physical damage the one of the shocks. Part of the shock tube is crushed in, up high away from the roadway. Most likely cause is damage during vehicle transportation from factory. Two dealerships have confirmed this is the most likely and possible cause. I have brought the vehicle in at least 3 times to a dealer, and have been told that only the dealership I purchased the vehicle from can perform the warranty work for this repair. I have also called GMC customer service number in the owners manual and made a complaint there as well. I was told the same thing by the person handling the complaint, that I would have to take the vehicle to the dealership that I purchased it from. The person said they would look into it further, but never called me back. The dealership I purchased the vehicle from is located in another state, hundreds of miles away. It is not practical to drive hundreds of miles away when a local dealership can perform warranty work.
