Takata recall -- complaint: General Motors has failed to offer a schedule, parts and a procedure to repair passenger side takata air bag problem after 6 years! please help?

The plastic dash is cracked next to the passenger airbag. According to the internet there are many and GM will not recall them. Don't know what would happen to the passenger if the airbag deployed with the plastic dash cracked around it.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 GMC Yukon. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V381000 (air bags); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Mark christopher auto center (2131 E convention center way, Ontario, ca) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

I am being told that until GM finds a solution, there is nothing I can do. My clear concern is that I carry my 3 children in this car. I bought a bigger vehicle for the safety of my family and now I am stuck with a car with faulty airbags. Multiple cracks in the dash, including one by the passenger airbag; truck has been garage kept for entire life, so it is not from sun damage. There are many complaints of the same issue online, and every time I ride in a lyft or uber Yukon or Tahoe that is a 2007-2014 model, I see the same cracks - this issue is prolific.

Cracked dash on my 2011 Yukon. When I paid almost $50,000 for a new vehicle I expect it to last longer than 70,000 miles before it starts breaking. My dash is cracking in the same place as the rest of the world. It is only a matter of time when my air bag is going to explode because of the dash and one of my children will be injured. Is that what it's going to take?
