Driving down the highway and brake pedal became hard to push down almost causing us to wreck. Keep seeing there was a recall for the brake vacuum pump and also brake assist warning came on. Also when driving low speed like in parking lot it takes a while for vehicle to come to a complete stop

Tail Brake Light failure The tail brake lights have gone out on a vehicle that isn't 10 years old yet. Tail lights should not go out this quickly and the dealership will kindly replace them at $1300 per tail light. This is absolutely absurd! It is available for inspection. This definitely puts myself and others at risk! Yes, this problem has been confirmed and inspected by a GMC dealer. Advised this is a very common problem with this vehicle. There are no warning lamps or messages to alert when the brake lights have gone out. Instrument Cluster failure The instrument cluster is also faulty in this truck. This is the 2nd time within a year that i have had issues with this. Safety concern is that you will not know if the vehicle is running hot because the gauges stop working. Also runs the battery down as the fan continues to run for about 10 minutes after the vehicle is turned off. Yes, the problem has been confirmed and inspected by a dealer. Advised that this is a very common problem with this vehicle. No, there are no warning lamps or messages to alert you of the problem. You just notice a different noise while driving, the gauges stop working and then when you turn it off, the fan continues to run.

I purchased a 2017 GMC Yukon Denali brand new off the showroom floor. I have maintained the services thru GMC dealership. I had to replace the struts and rear and front shocks due to hydraulic system leaking and locking up my brakes and causing extra pressure on my braking system to stop my vehicle. This cost me over $5000 to replace out of my pocket and I saw there was a previous recall in 2019 for similar problem but i was told my issues were not covered under the recall. I have also had to replace both taillights within 2years of purchasing my brand new vehicle and now they are out again. This will be my second time having to replace the LED tail lights that cost over $375 light which were stated as never go out of lifetime guarantee. You cannot just replace the bulb you have to replace the whole tail light which takes weeks to come in and then additional labor costs. The previous

2017 GMC Yukon Denali 4WD. Rear passenger brake light intermittently fails while driving Confusing and causing motorists behind my vehicle to receive inconsistent intermittent brake warning lights to alarm other motorists I have stopped. Someone is going to end up slamming into me because of this. It-€™s a dangerous common failure that needs to be address ASAP. I-€™m not waiting but GM-€™s executive corporate office will get the entire bill plus time lost and another BBB review.

Brake light failure. Brake lights work inconsistently. Changing the bulb does not fix the problem. This is an electrical issue that has been reported by numerous owners. This is a safety hazard as the components have to be repaired by a technician which causes hundreds of dollars, per light. This is a defective product that should be recalled!!!

The brakes stop working. Brake assist comes on. When I press the brakes you can feel the pump is not working at all. This is happening at slow speeds mostly in parking lots but in fear of it happening when going faster. This needs to be fixed asap- dangerous to drive my children around in a car where the brakes just stop working.

While pulling into a parking space, the brakes shuttered and they wouldn't hardly work. Almost couldn't get the vehicle stopped. A warning on my dash said "service brake assist." There was a recall issued in Canada but non here for my vehicle so far. This is a dangerous safety hazard that needs to be fixed. GMC needs to establish a recall as soon as possible.

After sending my SUV for the brake recall(the brakes actually failed while I was driving) last month, my brakes failed again while driving out of my driveway, on Wednesday 8/19 -on my way to work.. I drove straight to the dealership. Basically having to hard push the brakes on city streets stop lights etc. Scary. Yesterday, 8/20 they told me the car was fixed. On my way to the dealership 30 min away, they tell me after driving the vehicle, that brake indication came on the screen and they will need to keep it for my safety. As of now no word on it being corrected, and quite honestly not feeling safe about diving the car.

The contact owns a 2017 GMC Yukon. The contact received three different letters from the manufacturer. The letter sent in April of 2019 stated that they were extending the warranty coverage. The letter sent in September of 2019 mentioned NHTSA campaign number: 19V645000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The third letter sent in November of 2019 indicated that the issue was not a recall and they were extending the warranty again. The vehicle was taken to winegardner GMC Buick of prince frederick (935 solomons island rd N, prince frederick, md 20678, (443) 295-6182) where the ebcm module was reprogrammed only for the hydraulic system. The vacuum pump system was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but had not responded back to the contact's inquiries. The contact had not experienced a failure.
