problem #2

Accord

Door Handle broke. Doors don't close correctly. Maybe because it's been towed several times. My other Honda also has same problem, especially after one time it was towed. Fixing the door handle may not be enough. I'm sure alignment will be expensive. A new door handle from the dealer is about $80. (yes, just the handle).

It seems that when the 86 Accord is between 16 and 20 years old, the door handles snap off. My sister has the same model and the same thing happened to her within a week of it happening to me. Simple fix, of course: replace the door handle. Being a busy actor, I spent two years opening the passenger door, putting the key in the ignition and CAREFULLY turning it on enough that I could roll down the driver's window, then going around and opening the car from the inside. I still reach toward the window on any car, now.
