Ball joint (lower?) broke with absolutely no prior warning. Actual breakage didn't occur in joint, but on the rod leading up to it. It appears to have been poor grade of metal. Thank god I was on a 45 mph road and the car handled excellent, even without the front driver side tire pointing in the right direction.
