problem #2

Accord EX 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,000 miles

This car was purchased with 37,000 miles on it in 2012. On an intermittent basis, the "FUEL CAP" light would flash. Removing and screwing the cap back on never solved the issue. At 110,000 miles a strong gas odor would be present upon filling the tank. The diagnosis was that a plastic piece within the gas tank was broken and the remedy was to replace the entire gas tank.
