Daughter driving in speed lane in Indiana at speeds over 70mph- steering locked up completely as she was surrounded by semis. Thank God she responded and handled the situation - ahe could have been killed. Now car is in repair on what is KNOWN to be common failure, but NO recall. She is 6 hours away from vehicle now at college. Part will take 8 weeks. Honda doing nothing to provide her with a vehicle. I am sick HONDA has not issued this as a recall. She could have died. This is very common problem.

While driving on a straight roadway the electric power steering indicator light came on and the steering became very difficult. I was able to steer with effort to the side of the road and park. This incident just happened an hour ago and has not yet been checked by a service center. My husband met me, started the car and drove home without further incident.

I called Honda Dealership who told me I had o have it towed to them. I had towed to them and they told me EPS control unit. The only warning was the eps light. Why is my car not part of 15-550 or 15-056. There has been numerous issues with this year make and model when will it be resolved now that I-??m having to pay $1300 and over $300 for towing

When I bought the car about one month ago, the car would pull slightly to the left and get worse when I would go to stop. A week and a half ago it got a lot worse and now if you take any pressure off the steering wheel it will turn completely to the left. Also, turning to the right is extremely difficult. The car is not safe to drive in this state. Mechanics have said that it is the torque sensor in the steering rack that has gone bad.

My family and I were driving home then out of nowhere the steering wheel turned all the way left and after a while it went in random directions. If my hand was off the wheel anytime while driving the car would-??ve crashed into the side rail or another driver. There were no warning signs that this would happen and there are no dash lights indicating a problem.

The ABS Module has failed. I am receiving warning lights on my dash which caused me to pull off the road. After online research, I discovered this is a common problem with this make/model. So much so, that there is a national backorder for this part. My mechanic says that I can drive the car and the ABS system will not work in the event that I might need it. Online forums tell me that the system might activate and cause the brakes to lock up. This seems very unsafe to me and a widespread problem that Honda should address.

Approximately 7-8 months ago in 2022, I started noticing something unusual with the steering for my Mother's (original owner) 2013 Honda Accord. Initially I thought it may have been a defect in the road. In May of 2023, I noticed a significant change in the steering, and that it was a lot tighter and harder to turn (while driving or stationary). Also, if I did not hold the steering wheel firmly while driving, the steering wheel would jerk abruptly, changing my intended path of travel. This issue could potentially cause an accident. I immediately had the vehicle diagnosed at a Honda dealer, and they confirmed that it was a electrical power steering rack issue. The dealer advised me that American Honda extended the warranty coverage on all electrical power steering torque sensors for this vehicle, however, the vehicle needed to display a certain code during the diagnosis. Unfortunately, my vehicle did not display the required code and it was not covered under the extended warranty. The service advisor suggested that I contact American Honda to help resolve the issue, being that it was an electrical power steering issue and it should have been covered. American Honda conducted their investigation and denied my claim. I believe this should have been covered under the warranty because it is an electrical power steering issue.
