CR-V LX V4 Awd

  • Automatic transmission
  • 38,000 miles

Owned the car for 7 years with 38000 miles. Barely used it. No history of crash or any accident. Now, the SRS light is turning on and brought it to the dealer and was diagnosed with bad seat belt sensor and SRS module that needed to be replaced and will cost $1500 out of pocket.

They replaced it and when they test drove it before me picking up the car, the side airbags deployed. Thank God it was still inside the dealership and not me behind the wheels, the damage or injury could have been worse. So, they will replace all the parts that they just installed and when mechanic was asked what went wrong, he can't give a sure answer, said the SRS went off after they repaired it and then the airbags deployed, "it could be the new parts placed were defective or the system went crazy when reprogrammed ".

My car is still in the dealership, at least they gave us a rental..it is upsetting and scary at the same time hopefully after spending that much for repairs then it will be fixed for good.
