Takata recall I am following up on NHTSA complaint # 10881965. It was submitted in July 2016. The complaint pertained to Honda's air bag recall notice received in March 2016. Nothing has been done to date. Also, we have not heard from the NHTSA since submitting a complaint (see complaint number above).

Takata recall NHTSA recall 16V-346 we got a letter from Honda in July saying that parts for the recall "will become available in late summer/fall of 2016." It is now mid-December and recent calls to both Honda of America and my local dealer yielded no results. In the meantime, we have not been able to have a passenger in the front seat since July! thanks.

After having the passenger airbag replaced due to the recall, the SRS light came on which means that in the event of an accident, the airbags won't work anyway. Dealer said it could cost $1500 that I would have to pay. I'm not happy about this and think Honda should fix it.

Still no resolution to our air bags. Also, I drive my car a lot. I drive 100 miles a day. 5 days a week. I have over 160,000 miles. I have to buy tires all the time, my last set of 4 has 80,000 mile warranty and I have right at 28,000 miles on this set. I am having to purchase another set of 4 this week. I have paid about 7 or 8,000 dollars on tires I have purchased a least 10 set of tires because they don't wear evenly. I have purchased aliments on numerous occasions. I have purchased expensive tires 1000.00' to cooper tires 600.00! and every set has worn unevenly. I even rotate my tires every 5000 miles I was reading many complaining about the same issue. This is so unsafe traveling on interstate and road ways. Will you please investigate these problems. We really appreciate any help sincerely [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Takata recall received notification in spring that my takata airbag was recalled and needed to be replaced immediately, and I would receive notification from the dealer as soon as airbags were in stock and available for replacement. I never received notification (including to date.....several months later). When I scheduled routine maintenance on my CRV in June, the online system asked me if I also wanted to reschedule to have my airbag replaced at the same time. I did, and received confirmation that was part of my scheduled appointment. When I went for my maintenance appointment, I was informed that there were no airbags and they didn't know why I had requested to have it replaced because they had not notified me any were available. I was again told they would let me know when there were airbags in stock and I could schedule an appointment to have the work done for the recall. I still have not been contacted that any are available and that I can schedule an appointment to have the recalled, dangerous airbag replaced as part of the takata recall.

Takata recall; called 888-234-2138 on 6/2/16 and spoke with hosea, who assured me that I would be contacted in early July 2016 to have my airbag replaced, he told me that there was also a recall on the door actuator and that both would be addressed and fixed at the same time. I'm still waiting on the call... this is totally unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!! Honda claimed to have concerns for my and my family's safety, but this is a sitting time bomb and I assure you, legal action will be taken if any injury is incurred. This is my primary car and I have no other choice, but to continue driving it. Please do what was promised and take the necessary action to correct this!
