with only alitttle over 17,000 miles on my 2009 honda crv i was very outraged that these heat shields can crack on their own and are very costly to the customer. I think the manufacter did a poor job in developing these covers. I wish someone would look into this I truly think my shields were defective. when I ask the Honda repair shop how many of these types of problem have had to deal with he said alot, when I asked him how many only had 17,ooo miles he could not give me a answer.
