Driving down the highway at around 60 mph and the hood became unlatched. Hood started to vibrate excessively. Hood had to be re-seated when it was safe to do so. - Hood latch/striker malfunctioned. Component is still on vehicle. Vehicle can be inspected if required. - Issue has not been reviewed with dealer or independent service center. However, there is a recall on other Honda vehicles for this issue. - Vehicle has not been inspected. - No warning lamps or messages were present at prior to or at time of failure.

In cold weather trunk will not open. The only access to the spare tire and trunk is climbing over the back seat. This problem is reported by other owners of the 2016 CRV on the internet. I lived in South Florida and recently moved to a cold weather climate for work. It is cold in northern Virginia and I cannot open my trunk. Was able to see that many drivers have this problem when I did a internet search. I found a service bulletin 16-063 on the internet. It is a safety hazard because one should not have to climb through the backseat to get into their trunk. In case I have a flat tire I will not be able to lift the tire out of the trunk over the backseat.

When the weather gets under 50F, the trunk will not unlock and will not open. It seems as if the actuator freezes. When the temperature is above 50F you can hear it click and unlock. This was an issue with 2011-2015 CRV and it is still an issue with 2016.

When my vehicle was about 45 to 55 mph, I can feel that the vehicle started vibrating. The vibration came through the steering wheel, so I can feel on my both hands. It may affect body as well because my body can feel it as well. Below 45 mph or above 55 mph, the vibration is gone. Since this Sept, the situation persists.

I was a victim of a head on collision on 3/19/2020. I suffered a broken leg and numerous bruises and contusions as a result of the collision. After I was transported via ambulance to the emergency room for treatment and surgery, my car was towed and then assessed by insurance inspectors as "totaled." I was driving on a city street going 35 miles an hour when a saw a vehicle coming towards me veering wildly from one side of the road to the other. The weather was sunny and dry at the time. I remember wondering at the time of the accident why my front air bag did not deploy. It surely should of, I would think, and maybe would have prevented my broken leg.

When the gear is in driving mode, D, my vehicle starts vibrating so much that all passengers can feel it. According to Honda, it is a well known problem to 2015 CRV (owners.Honda.com/vehicle-information/CR-V-2015-vibration-settlement.html). however, it doesn't seem that they fixed the problem in 2016 CRV. According to Honda, my problem is very obvious at driving mode 1, which means that vibrations may be present when stopped with vehicle in gear, for example at a stop light. The problem has been there for a long time, and it comes more serious nowadays.

Honda CR-V 2016 touring vehicle travelling at 55 miles/hour on a 57 North freeway with a driver & passenger started pulling to the right (out of carpool lane), uncontrollable and erratic behavior. Immediately both front airbags (driver side & passenger side) and driver side side-airbags got deployed (curtain airbags). The driver tried to control and steer the vehicle towards the left curb/divider to avoid getting into incoming traffic to stop the vehicle. The vehicle hit the divider and took a 180 degree turn and stopped. Accident location: 57 North California, 1/2 mile from katella avenue vehicle condition: Front both tires flattened, rear right tire flattened, front both airbags and driver side side-airbags deployed, vehicle front and side damaged

The vehicle vibrates very rough when idle in drive gear. Specifically, the issue happens when the vehicle is stationary and in drive gear and all accessories turned off and when the engine temperature has reached its optimum (fully warmed up engine). The issue goes away if the RPM is raised (when stationary and in drive gear) by turning on any accessory like fan or rear defroster etc. This was a known issue in Honda CR-V 2015 and was admitted as "mode 1 vibrations" by Honda. Honda put out a fix for CR-V 2015 by tsb 15-046. A lot of Honda 2016 CR-V including my vehicle is showing exactly the same symptoms but Honda is refusing to provide a fix for 2016 CR-V vibration issue citing it as a "normal characteristics of the vehicle". the excessive vibrations during idle are causing headaches and significant jitters in the body during excessive stop-and-go traffic conditions. Also, the owners of these vibrating 2016 Cr-vs are concerned about longetivity of transmission mounts, engine mounts and other mechanical connections due to this high engine vibrations. NHTSA should definitely look into this issue and hold Honda accountable to providing a fix for this issue. Following are the links to videos on youtube and google search.
