CR-V EX-L 1.4L Turbo

  • CVT transmission
  • 14,883 miles

From time to time, the radio will go black and it has to be turned on and off to reboot the screen. The audio still works but both the screen and the section within the speedometer black out. Occasionally it will also turn white. Honda did not have a fix at the time, but did recommend to hit the moon icon to reset it and so far it works - but it's still very annoying!

CR-V Touring 1.5L 4 cyl Turbo

  • CVT transmission

This problem began with a recall Number 124A2. Radio worked fine before this recall. Dealer did software update and replaced Part Number 79600TLA- A62 CPU assembly. Dealer tried to solve this problem, contacted Honda Engineers etc... After several attempts to get a programming update, they were unsuccessful with any help from Honda. Being that the car is out of warranty, dealer says only option is to replace radio for $633.00 dollars. I noted others say that a similar problem stems from Panasonic unwillingness to solve issue????

CR-V EX-L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,000 miles

Every once in a while, maybe a few times a month, the station begins to fade out even though the signal is clear. Then it switches to another station. If I persist in changing it back to the original station, the presets completely disappear and I have to reprogram all my presets. If I catch it soon enough, in other words if I catch the station fading for no apparent reason, I hold down the volume key and reset it before it has a chance to wipe out my presets.

This only seems to happen when I have HD radio selected. I've switched to analog and so far that problem has not happened. But I want my HD radio without having to worry about this problem!
