I was driving on I-5 about 70 mph, suddenly the car started running rough and speed dropped immediately to 10-12 mph. The check engine light came on. I immediately pulled to the side of the road. After a minute or so the car returned to normal. I continued driving to the next dealer and had them inspect the car. They could find nothing wrong and gave me back my car. After driving an additional 15 minutes the same thing happened only the check engine light and many other warning lights came on and flashed. Once again I pulled to the side of the road and was towed to the dealership. They then changed the oil, replaced a fouled spark plug, adjusted the fuel injector settings and replaced the climate control unit. Honda has been unable to explain to me why this would solve the problem long term.

Shifter knob broke and fell off gear shifter while in motion upon further investigation I found that Honda had issued a service bulletin 19-063 describing the same exact issue as had happened to our vehicle and it referenced NHTSA #10160912 but the service bulletin is VIN specific and Honda is stating that our vehicle is not covered for repair under this service bulletin. I am questioning them further but it is the same problem as described in the bulletin so maybe the recall/product update needs to be looked at further so that in the future drivers don't experience the shifter knob falling off the gear selector while in motion.

While driving down the hwy at 65 mph the button in the gear shift popped out. It is a piece of plastic and it broke inside the gear handle. I drove home but without this button inserted I am not able to shift to park, reverse, drive. I took it to the westhills Honda dealer for repair. I was told there was a recall on this same issue but not for this VIN. To me this is a very serious concern.

Gear shift button popped out while driving: I was driving with my children in the car, the button popped out as I was trying to drop them off at school. This could have been a truly deadly situation in a crowded drop off because the car would not go to park. Thankfully I quickly recovered from shock, hit the brakes and scrambled to grab the piece that had fallen to the floor of the car. The button piece looks cheap, so now the coil is exposed. I can't just stick my finger in so I am going to need to tape the button back on until I get it fixed. This is an obvious recall issue since so many people have mentioned it. I wouldn't have reported it if I didn't see so many online complaints.

When driving on a local road from school, my son pressed the accelerator after a stop light. Our 2017 Honda CRV didn't move an inch. Thankfully, it was not a highway and the cars behind him were not coming at high speed. We had the car towed to the dealer and it turned out that the transmission was gone and it had to be replaced. The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. the contact stated that the dial gear popped off the console and the contact could not find the gear knob. The contact had to look for the piece while trying to steer the vehicle to safety. The contact called metro Honda (9399 autoplex St, montclair, ca 91763, (909) 542-9637) and was informed that they would check for the replacement part and repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was 21,000.

Message "shutter grille problem. Power reduced." When driving at highway speed on a upgrade towing a small trailer, this message appeared and the speed of the CRV immediately reduced by approximately 20 mph, almost causing an accident. I shut the vehicle off and waited (very shaken) for about 15 minutes and restarted the car and it acted normally. The dealer doesn't seem to know why this happened even though I could have been killed by the reduction in speed. (and it has happened to others with crvs who have reported this online.) this car mostly driven in Canada.

I was driving my 2017 ex-L on the highway when the transmission started feeling strange. It was stepping down, then back to normal consistently even if I didn't change the pressure I had on the accelerator. Then all of a sudden many systems started reporting problems on my dashboard, all at the same time. Reported problems were: Brake system problem all wheel drive system problem tire pressure monitor problem electric parking brake problem road departure mitigation system problem collision mitigation system problem lane keeping assist problem adaptive cruise control problem hill start assist problem vehicle stability assist (vsa) problem anti-lock brake system problem power steering system (eps) problem the car lost power as I pulled off the road and shut it off. After a while, the problem codes went away. Honda has tried to fix it three times and says nothing shows as wrong. The latest case number is 09360895 it has happened three times so far

While driving the shift lever push knob button which allows you to shift gears fell out. Upon researching this issue on line, apparently it is a well known issue with 2017 and 2018 Honda Cr-vs. The plastic button breaks inside the shift lever with part falling out and the other portion remaining inside the shift lever. When I returned the vehicle to a Honda dealer, they were well aware of this issue and replaced it under warranty. This item should be the subject of a mandatory recall as it poses a hazard when one can't shift the car out of drive etc. I was told at the dealer that it is only replaced if already broken.

Fuel is penetrating the oil in the engine. Strong gasoline smell is present on the outside of the vehicle after driving it, regardless of distance. Gasoline smell fills cabin while driving vehicle. Problems are occurring regardless of distance driven or terrain. Fuel is diluting the oil in the vehicle in such large amounts that the oil level is beyond the full level on the oil dip-stick. Took vehicle to the dealership, and they informed me that it is a know issue, but that they could not fix it since there is no recall active.

Car would not go into "park" after trying. The gear shift would not go past neutral. The vehicle was stopped and sitting in a parking spot. Fortunately the dealer was close after attempting to shift numerous times was able to move. Took my CR-V to the dealer and they replaced the spring and the knob you press to change gears. They said this was covered by warranty. They had the knob and spring readily available which tells me they know about this issue.

Shift knob button broke off while placing the car in drive from park - now I am unable to shift car to park or any other gear. This car only has 19K miles on it and a year and a 1/2 old.
