CR-V Touring AWD 1.4L

  • CVT transmission
  • 5,600 miles

Brought car in for 5000 mile oil change. Told tech that I was hearing valve ticking and strange whining while accelerating. After an hour I was brought into shop and shown the underneath of car covered in fluid but they didn’t know what it was. Also said they heard no noises. After a week I get the call that it is oil and they believe it is the rear main seal that was installed wrong at the factory.

After 3 weeks I get the car back. I inspect the undercarriage and find the shields are loose and not properly installed and oil on my garage floor. Back to the dealer it goes. Shields were fixed and they say they couldn’t find anymore leaks. So with that being said between the quality of workmanship from the factory and the quality of workmanship from the dealer I will never buy another Honda.
