All the warning lights come on while driving. I have to disconnect the battery to reset it. I get the brake warning signal when no other vehicles are around. At times my vehicle will slow down with no other vehicles close to me. This issue could cause an accident if someone is around. I had to turn the walk away feature off due to the alarm continuously sounding. My vehicle was inspected by a dealer for the issue with the alarm sounding. They weren-€™t able to give a definite cause and suggested I turn the walk away feature off. The other issues have been occurring since February of 2020 and have not been inspected. My vehicle is available for inspection. All of these issues occur at different times. The warning lights started coming back on October 15, 2021.

The electrical wiring malfunctioned and all the warning notifications are sounding on the dashboard. Tire Monitoring System, Brake System, Brake Hold System, Vehicle Stability Problem, Hillside Assist Problem, Road Departure Migration System, etc... Also, the Emergency Brake engages every time the car turns off. We cannot disable this feature. We have to take the emergency brake off every time we turn the car on. When this happens, the only way to terminate the warning notifications is to disconnect the battery and wait 15-20 minutes. We are concerned the emergency brake could malfunction and engage when the car is driving.

Car shut off and there was no power. Battery was dead and I had to get a jump from a family member. This is the 6th or 7th time my battery has died. I've had it replaced 4 times and going for a 5th this weekend. I've had my car jumped multiple times by my father and i lost count really. There a well known parasitic draw issue which drains the battery, which causes component failure. This car is unsafe to drive.

Problem 1: My car has 30,000 miles but her Honda since it is past the 36 months it is no longer under warranty. Problem 2: I feel this is a safety issue due to the nature of the failure and the consequences of an immediately failure rendering the car undriveable. This is how the problem unfolded. I started the car. Immediately "System failures" started scrolling across the dash system including Power Brake Failure. I called Honda service, explained what was happening, and Per the Honda service representative, I was told I could drive the car in. I explained the car would not come out of park thus I could not drive it. I was then told how to manually get the car out of park to drive it in for evaluation. I put it in reverse to get out of the garage and when I tried to stop the car I and had no brakes or steering. I got the car to stop by standing with both feet and all my weight on the brake peddle. I Had towed on a flat bed tow truck into Ed Napleton Honda. I was told by Honda that they have never seen this system failure without "a rodent being involved" as they chew threw the housing and then chew on the wires causing the electrical problem. After about 36 hours I was called and told that they had to replace the Brake Power Booster sensor, "no evidence of rodent involvement" and no explanation of why the part failed. I was informed that before further evaluation could be done there was no choice but to replace the Power Booster. I was told it would be $2600 and that even if it was not the problem, I had to pay for the repair for they could continue the evaluation process. This is 3 X the cost of the part per another source I called. I also feel I could have been killed/injured or killed and/or injured other people on the road if this had happened when I was driving as there was no pre warning of the problem and having the Certified Service Associate telling me to drive the car knowing that I had total system failure's scrolling across my dash.

For some unknown reason all the warning lights will come on in the instrument cluster. This includes all the safety features of the vehicle. When the lights are on none of the safety features work. This includes the emergency braking, lane keep assist, and the cruise control just to name a few. I have reached out to the Honda Corp. with no luck on getting the issue fixed.

The center console display will not dim. Attempting to dim it results in momentary dimming and then it returns to full brightness. The glare from the display makes it extremely difficult to see at night. I had the dealer check it out and they told me that Honda released a Technical Service Bulletin to replace the unit. However, since the vehicle is not under warranty at this time the part alone is around $2300. This is a safety issue and should be covered or repaired at a lower cost.

When starting the vehicle, all of the safety system warning messages came on one right after the others. Sometimes, it is enough to turn the engine off for a few minutes and restart the car, for all of the warnings to be cleared. Other times (this past weekend) the same thing happens several starts in a row. The vehicle seemed to operate normally despite the warnings-€"most of which relate to assisted driving and safety systems. I don-€™t know if the problem actually created a safety risk. The vehicle has not been taken to a dealer or service center, but I am taking it in the day after tomorrow. It has not been inspected. The system warning lights themselves are the problem.

In less than three and half years, I have replaced the battery at least three times. This time like the others, the battery was DEAD. I took it to the dealership (Pacific Honda) and with documentation from O Reilly's confirming the battery was good. The initial evaluation from the dealership was some kind of module (can't remember the name he gave me) was the cause and needed to be replaced. The part was to be delivered the next day. However, later the next day I received a call informing me that the diagnosis was wrong. The "Shifter Base Assembly" was defective and not alerting the system the car was in park. That caused the electrical system to remain active and draining the battery. That part is on back-order and unknown when it will be available. My car is parked at the dealership at no use to me. A "Google" inquiry alerted me to a widespread module issue draining the battery.

ELECTRICAL: this Honda CRV has had problems with the battery at apx12,000 miles. Battery fully discharged, requires being reset at a service facility because even after jumping the car, dash states that many of the functions will not operate. How stupid is that" VERY. Battery dead again in Dec. 2020, just under 13,000 miles. After jump, I traveled about 70 miles. After 2 days, dead again. Another 2 hr delay waiting for a jump and went directly to replace the battery. We bought the car new in Nov of 2017, this should not happen. The service person said that Honda puts in cheap batteries, so I attributed it to that until I read many of the NHTSA reports here with issue after issue being reported. Also, in summer of 2020, we noticed the air conditioning system seemed very weak. I did not take any action at that time, not sure what to do about that. Now in June of 2021, there is DEFINITELY A PROBLEM, no AC on these over 90 degree temp heat wave days. One doesn't buy an expensive car to have problems like this. Entering the car on a hot rainy day with the inside front windshield all fogging, you can't clear it without air conditioning. I couldn't drive the car until it cleared, which took a long time. I guess visibility isn't a high enough safety issue for Honda. And again after reading a hundred of these NHTSA reports, no need to read all 206, the pattern is clear. I now see the number of problems I will most likely face, my gear shift knob falling apart, car suddenly breaking when no other cars are around, or when cars are behind me and slam into me. I will sell the car and move on to a different manufacturer. This is my first Honda, and will be my last. Honda doesn't give a crap about these incidents because there are MANY and they have done nothing. I'm not even sure what the NHTSA does other than collect these if they don't hammer a company to fix repeating problems. Maybe they just keep them for archives? Hey NHTSA> WHAT IS THE POINT IF YOU DO NOTHING??"

Every earring light comes on the dashboard at the same time. This has happened several times over the past year. The car abruptly stopped when I was traveling 30mph. The orange break light flashed and the car stopped itself when coming across a metal plate in the road. Luckily there wasn't any vehicle behind me or I would have been in an accident. Dealer said several software updates were needed and the A/C control panel needed replaced. Plus and oil change was needed in order to replace the A/C control panel. I have owned the vehicle since March 2020. I have taken it to the dealer for all oil changes and servicing since I've owned the car. I told the tech last oil change about the warning light issue and he said just drive the car in next time it happened because they needed the vehicle while it was happening.

Design or installation of wiring harness may have caused the air conditioner wire to the pressure sensor to break. I do not know if this represents a safety issue, however, there have been reports of fire occurring in other CRV vehicles having a faulty wire harness. Replacing the harness is almost entirely labor at a cost of almost $600

I was driving my 2017 Honda CRV last night and out of nowhere, all warning lights came on across the dashboard, including disabling traction control, anti-lock brakes and emissions safety, among many other errors. These systems provide safe driving so they are essential for use, and also frightening to have deactivated when cruising down the street in downtown denver, surrounded by traffic and pedestrians. The car has literally every single warning light on, including the check engine light. Turning the car on and off several times did not fix it and so it will need dealer repair. Upon doing research, I've noticed that this is a widespread issue with 2017-2018 Honda crvs and is affecting a lot of other drivers. This car feels very unsafe if all the electrical systems kick on and off as they please, seemingly at random.
