Air conditioner stopped working in July 2021. Sent to dealer to check as car was under warranty. Dealer performed system diagnostic test. Performed all DTC check: Found code P0441, P04F1 Evap System Purge Flow Malfunction. Performed DTC troubleshooting. Visual inspect purge hoses. No damage. Check evaporation hose no block inside. Holding vacuum. Due to gas tank full. Recommended replace purge valve and recheck. When completed air conditioner worked. Less than a year later air conditioner stopped working again. Same dealer states now is air coolant replacement issue and would cost $475 to repair.

A/C Failure in May, 2021 AND REPEATED in May, 2022: Prior to June 1, 2021, when the CRV was about 33 months old, the Air Conditioner stopped providing cool or cold air when was set as low as 65 degrees. The dealer checked it and found it was leaking (code 06001) and replaced the compressor, coil set, and clutch, then recharged it. It worked fine in 2021, but in the spring of 2022 it stopped cooling again (only about 10,000 miles in 3 1/2 yrs).. Dealer said the A/C is covered under its one year warranty, so it will be returned to the dealer in 2 days. Total mileage now is about 13, 200 miles. This is an engineering disaster and in warm weather can cause accidents. This problem is a long standing issue since early in 2000 and should be REPAIRED permanently,

Shortly after 3 yrs of ownership, problem lights on the dashboard for the entire system turned on (Road Departure Mitigation System Problem, Brake Hold System Problem, Vehicle Stability Assist Problem, Hill Start Assist Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control Problem, Brake System Problem, Emergency Brakes, Emission System Problem, Tire Pressure Monitor Problem, Lane Assist, etc). That was in August 2021. We were told a new battery was needed, so we changed it. The lights went off. Eventually it happened again. The battery was readjusted, so it reset everything. It has happened several other times. It happened again recently (April 2022) while driving. The safety issue took place during this incident when the vehicle started to decelerate (from 45 MPH) on a busy road. We barely made it to the shoulder, turned off the car, and restarted it. This keeps happening with no repair solution yet.

My vehicle stops going down the road. It starts slowing down quickly and is very hard to drive like the power steering is going out. Hopefully I can get to a shoulder to turn it off. I let it sit for a few minutes and it will restart. Close to my home, there are curves where there is no shoulder and it has happened multiple times there. It is not consistent and usually occurs within the first 30 minutes of your drive. This has happened since I bought brand new but is occurring more frequently now.

When the Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) system is engaged, the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system will engage without cause. The braking primarily occurs in construction zones where traffic is being routed off the main traffic lanes onto shoulders or temporary lanes. The braking increases the risk of a rear end crash. It has occurred numerous times since the vehicle was purchased in Dec of 2018. I rarely used the RDM system anymore. If I do, I disengage it when I drive through construction zones.

In December 2021, my kids and I were in the car waiting outside the restaurant for our food. The car was on and in less than 10 minutes all the warning lights flashed on the dashboard. I turned the engine off and on but all the warning lights were still flashing. Called the dealership and was advised to have it towed. They couldn-€™t find any problem. On February 16, four days after our car was serviced, on the way to work the vehicle was slowing down and running rough. I turned it off and on, same thing, foot on accelerator but it only slowed me down. Called the dealership and was advised to have it towed. They couldn-€™t find any problem. On the afternoon of February 21, every warning lights came flashing on the dashboard again. Every time you turn it on, the warning lights are still there. I-€™m on my way to have it checked to the dealership again.

The sunroof exploded on November 22, 2021. It happened as I drove under an overpass, so I thought it was the result of something falling on to it. But when the repairman couldn-€™t find anything within the glass, I didn-€™t know what to think. Then I saw a story, that was done in 2012, about exploding sunroofs on the news. My experience was similar to that of the people interviewed. The sunroof has been replaced by my insurance.

The driver's side sun visor will not stay up in the correct position it keeps falling down causing visibility issues. when I'm going down the interstate at 70 miles an hour and The driver side sun visor decides to just go from the correct position and fall down into my line of view especially at night there's a couple of seconds there where my eyes get taken off the road to deal with it and that shouldn't happen. I consider this to say the issue it's no different than your phone ringing and looking down to see who's calling because when it just falls down in front of your face those couple of seconds something could happen. I get my Honda CRV serviced regularly at the dealership and I've mentioned it to them and they've offered to let me order one and pay for it and they would put it home but I'm still paying the car off. So I guess my only option is just to take it off completely not replace it and then just hope that the sun isn't really bright one day and calls me to get an accident because I'm blinded because I don't have a sun visor anymore

Sun visor will not go back to its upright position. It is set about 5 to 6 inches below where it should be. Leading edge is at about forehead level and has a hard frame (would not be fun in an accident). Issue was first noticed after a few months of use. I recently mentioned the condition to the dealer and they indicated that others have experienced the same condition. They are ordering a replacement visor.

My son and I entered my car that was parked in my driveway. We heard a noise. Upon getting out of my car and checking to see what happened, my sunroof had shattered. I immediately called the police because I thought maybe it was a stray bullet. The police did not see a bullet. My sunroof shattered for no reason. Had I been driving and the panel had not been closed, glass would have gone everywhere and my son and I could have been injured

The vehicle has a "feature" which rolls down the windows automatically upon pressing the unlock button on the keyfob twice and then holding the button. On multiple occasions the windows have rolled down without the owner's knowledge when keys are carried in pockets, purses, etc. This is considered a safety issue due to risk of windows unrolling in inclement weather and damaging the interior, or due to risk of an unauthorized person obtaining access to the car by reaching through the now opened window and simply depressing the interior unlock button. There is no way to disable this capability.

I had been running errands, driving, made 2 stops. When I cranked the car at the 3rd stop, the Dashboard warning system lights all come on and won-€™t go off. This includes the TPMS System, Brake Failure warning light, Emergency Brake Light, Lane Assist, VSA warning, etc. The car was drivable, so I took it to the dealer in December 2020. They said battery was low and I bought a new one. October, 2021, it happened again. The battery was under warranty, so they changed it out for a new one. Today, 2 weeks later, November 2021, it happened again. The dealer is keeping it for diagnostics. No resolution yet. The vehicle has less than 25k miles, but of course not under warranty because it was purchased more than 3 years ago.

Grinding noises were heard in the car twice, before the engine stalled. The car was stopped in the middle of the intersection. Could not restart the car at all, and check engine lights were lit on the dashboard. After 5 minutes passed and after multiple tries to restart the car, the engine started and I was able to get to safety. Upon dealer inspection, the cause was the air condition compressor locking up, possibly due to a leak in the refrigerant. This is confirmed by the car blowing hot air even in AC mode. The lock up caused the engine to stall and go into fail safe mode. This meant the car was stopped and unable to restart in the middle of a busy intersection. Because the car's engine was stopped, it was not possible to get the car moving again. It was incredibly dangerous for me and my passengers, as well as other cars on the road. Even when the lights changed, I was still stuck. There were cars driving around my car, causing more potential traffic incidents. The engine was not able to be immediately restarted, which put multiple cars in traffic in danger for longer than necessary. The car is being serviced by Roush Honda (100 W Schrock Rd, Westerville, OH 43081). Prior to the failure, there were no warning signs and no other issues. This was a sudden and completely unexpected engine stall due to the AC Compressor Failure. This issue is common among CRV (2017 to 2020). https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-t72370_ds1082603. There is also another NTSHA notice on this car related to the AC Compressor Leak. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2021/MC-10189868-0001.pdf Please recall this car. This issue puts everyone in an incredibly dangerous situation.

I have a 2018 Honda CRv EX-L (Certified Preowned). On June 16th 2021 while on the way to get an oil change a few warning lights came on the dashboard, (LKAS, Brake system, ACC, Collision Mitigation), the cruse control and driver assist stopped working also a brake light came on. My mechanic ran a diagnosis and the codes that showed on the report were code U30006-16 and code P2583-76 he advised that I take the car to the Honda dealer to get it fixed. The next day June 17th when I started the car the warning lights were all off. I called the Honda dealer in Forth Pierce Florida later that day to make an appointment to have the car looked at but was told that unless the lights are on that they would not be able to run a diagnosis for the problem and to call again if the lights came back on. On September 4th while in Tampa Florida the warning lights all came on again for the 2nd time. I called the Honda Dealer in Tampa and was able to make an appointment for September 9th 2021. On September 6Th 2021 when I started the car, the warning lights were all off again. I went in to the Honda Dealer in Tampa on September 9th. Hoping that they would be able to fix the problem even though the warning lights were now all off again. I told them of the codes that showed when my mechanic ran the diagnosis on June 16th. (code U30006-16 and code P2583-76). I left the car with them and went off to school. Later that day they ( Tampa Honda) called to inform me that my wave radar had been misaligned because something like a rock must have hit it while I was driving. I was also told that the replacements are back ordered so I needed to come get my car. I was also told that Honda would not cover the cost of the repair because the radar being hit causes it to no longer be under warranty. I personally feel that if something as a little rock is going to disable the whole HONDA

Malfunctioning A/C unit - July 2020 noticed no cool air coming through while A/C was on. Had a dealer in WA look at it and they found A/C discharge hose leaking. They couldn't fix it since the part was not in stock and I was in the process of moving out of state. Then took it to a different Honda dealer in OK in August 2020 and they tested it and also said discharge hose was leaking, they replaced hose - evac and charge system - a/c working as intended. This was within warranty so no charge, mileage 24,675. Then once it got hot again and tried to use the A/C, it wasn't blowing cold air again. Took it to the Honda dealer again June 2021, mileage 28,428 and they said now it's the receiver pipe is leaking, the other pipe. Per their notes, the service recommended is to replace 1 line and perform a/c service (looks like the a/c line from compressor to the condenser is leaking and needs replaced.) But now it's out of warranty by a couple of months. This seems to be an issue with 2017 - 2019 Honda CRV's from seeing it on multiple posts from other Honda owners. I haven't had the work done on this yet so it can be inspected again or I can send you the invoice that states this information. Please help with this known issue with CRV's.
