Civic LX 1.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 256,256 miles

This is the second time this happened. This used circuit is under warranty by the mechanic who got it from the junk yard. It has a 30 day warranty. But, we would have to pay for the labor to have it replaced. The check engine light comes on, then it "down shifts" or looses power for a time. The light does go off eventually and the car runs normally again.

Lights come on and off as they please. Definite shorts throughout the car. Always a problem even before car was older.

My 2001 Civic has the power locks not working, ac not working, check engine light. installing an aftermarket radio in my civic caused this problem even though it was wired correctly. Honda would not confirm the radio was the cause but unhooked the radio to fix the problem and refused to hook the radio back up but offered to put factory radio back in since i had it in my trunk. Whatever!!
