Civic EX 4cl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 155,000 miles

  • When at a stop, I must hold the brake in firmly and I mean firmly to keep it from rolling forward into the car in front of me, or intersection. This is extremely dangerous.

    - Check engine light is intermittently on/off.

    - Under powered when climbing a hill.

    - Car jolts or shakes at times- at speed, and at a stop.

    - Engine drops rpm's from 800 to about 400 at a stop. Without a.c. active, or the fan.

I bought this vehicle from a used dealership, after only 3 months on my way home from a DR.s appointment the car just stopped working. I couldn't go anywhere. So I started coasting along the shoulder. Had to keep turning the car on and off to get it to move. So I'm going ten miles an hour down a busy road on the shoulder with my hazards on trying to get this car to a safe place. Well, after about an hour I finally get it into a parking lot near home. Had a friend the rest of the way home.

I try calling Honda and the place I bought it from and the Honda dealership and none of them could help me or answer any of my questions, they all said it was my problem now and oh well. And the worst part was the warranty had run out 2 days before this happened so they pretty much said screw you too. So I called Honda corporate at least three times trying to figure out how to go about getting this recalled since I saw so many others with the same problem. Of course they refused to answer my question. So I asked my father-in-law if he knew anything and he told me to call consumer affairs and they referred me to the highway transportation number.

So please, I urge all of you, if you still have this vehicle call them up and file a safety complaint. That's how we're going to get this thing recalled. Enough people have to complain to highway transportation. Please figure out what the number is in your area and call them Immediately! And when they send you the paper copy in the mail make sure you sign and send it back!!!! Screw You HONDA!!! For not caring about the likes of me, my family, and other innocent people, all so you could save a buck. JERKS.
