Civic 4-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 20 miles
I purchased a 2005 Honda Civic on 5-31-05. I have experienced 3 incidences of sudden acceleration from July 2nd through Aug 29. Each time, I was driving on the road and all of a sudden the vehicle accelerated. I was not able to stop it by applying the brakes. I had to turn off the engine. I took it to the dealer, but they cannot find anything wrong with the vehicle. Consequently, I do not feel safe driving this car.

Unintended acceleration has occured 3 times. Put foot on brake to slow down and car accelerator starts racing. Move gear shift to neutral. Accelerator then disengages back to normal. 2005 Honda Civic LX with approx 5000 miles. No correction to date
