Civic ES 1.6L L4

  • Manual transmission
  • 56,000 miles

This car's paint job is horrible. Clear coat coming off. Anyone know if there was a warranty on their paint? Car is probably too old now anyways, but it started in 2011. Had same problem with my 1999 Honda accord.

Civic BL G4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 61,702 miles

After visiting two Honda dealers and getting nowhere, I decided to get an estimate to have my car painted which would cost me $2500; not doing it. Wrote to the official Honda folks and all I got was an email practically saying too bad, paint job recall expired. I like my car, good gas mileage but very unsatisfied with the service and poor explanation provided on this awful paint job.

Will never purchase another Honda vehicle again. I see many Honda Civic on road with the same paint issue and something should be done about since this is not an isolated problem. Honda should fix this problem and should not have an expiration date on their mistake. It sucks!!!

Civic Coupe V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

PAINT HAS FADED ON THIS VEHICLE SIMILAR TO OTHER POSTED ON THIS SITE. IT APPEARS THAT HONDA WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. JUST CURIOUS IF ANYONE HAS TAKEN THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT AND TRIED SEEKING A RESOLUTION IN THE COURTS.
