problem #2

Dec 312010

Civic NAV

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

Have had more problems with 2007 Honda Civic-Nav. Recalls were bad enough, now this reoccurring problem with the console between seats becoming extremely hot, so much so that it was too hot to touch emergency brake. Was suppose to be fixed in 12/09, but when it got cold again in 12/10, the same thing happened. Was told the heating hose was never connected. A bracket could not be made as it would rub against the hose. Was told that there would have to be something "waded up" and have the hose rest on it. So when will the next time that this will have to be fixed, when its winter again???

problem #1

Dec 012009

Civic NAV

  • Automatic transmission
  • 75,000 miles

Have had nothing but major problems with 2007 Honda Civic w/nav, (purchased new). It has eaten up 3 sets of tires. Tried to tell mechanic that there was a problem with car causing cupping on inside of tires. Then last Dec., console started heating up excessively. Took to dealership, they said the hose was not connected when on assembly line. Supposedly, they fixed it. Have had 4 recalls on items. Had to take back today, with same overheating of console. If I put a cold drink in console, it melts ice immediately. Only good point, it keeps coffee hot for as long as I drive the car. Will NEVER buy another Honda. Never had problems with all of my Toyotas. At least Toyota acknowledges that they have problems and then fixes them. Honda just keeps fighting me on what the problem is.
