The paint on the roof of my car is hazing and the clear coat is peeling. The hood of my car also has white spots. Honda garage in moon twp., pa will only pay half of the cost to paint the roof of my car. They said there was a "goodwill recall" that ended in Sept 2014, but I never received this.

I was told by a friend that she got her Civic painted because of a recall. I bought my car at the Honda dealer in killeen Texas, but I called my local greg may Honda in waco tx service department. I told them I never received any notice stating there was a recall, and someone had told me about it. I was having the exact color issues with pealing, cloudy color on my roof, and a few other panels on my car. They told me that there was a recall but its past due now, and I basically will have to pay out of pocket for this. I am having my car roof painted this weekend, and will have to do the rest as I can afford it. What I don't understand is, why should I have to pay for a recall that Honda said was happening if you never sent a notification to me."?? I haven't been online here since I paid my car off, I didn't realize it would have recalls etc on here. I will keep watch now that I know. I love my Honda this is my second Civic I also had an Accord. Can you do anything for me" I have photo's of my car with the damage if you need proof. Thank you for your time and consideration regarding the above matter.

Opened our trunk recently and water poured into the trunk from the trunk door when we lifted it. Keeps happening every time after a rainy day (which is alot in Florida). Now our trunk is smelly, moldy and damp. We cannot put our groceries, purse, suitcases, etc into the trunk or else they will get wet. It smells so bad in the cabin area that it is difficult to breathe and you have to drive with the windows down which is difficult with my allergies. The things we kept in the trunk like the jack are now rusted and the bag where I kept my jumper cables is moldy. Difficult to use the car now since we cannot put anything into it safely and cannot breathe in the cabin area.

Shortly before the vehicle went out of the manufacturers warranty I began to notice issues with the paint job. The paint began to develop large areas on the roof, hood, fenders, and several other areas of the car that were extremely faded with the clear coat totally wearing through. I brought this to the attention of the dearlership I bought the car from and they told me to call back in about two weeks when a regional rep. Would be at the dealership for him to examine. I called back and was asked if I could bring the car down that day, luckily I work only a few miles from the dealership and was able to bring the car down. When I got there my service advisor took the car for the "regional" guy to have a look. About 40 minutes later my service advisor came back to the service lounge to tell me that, according to the "regional" guy, who I never met, said that it was quote, "environmental issues" that caused the issues with the paint job and suggested that keeping the car out of the sun ( in Florida !!!! ) would help. In an effort to retain me as a customer, since both myself and my wife have bought Honda from that dealership, they would make an offer to pay for half of the paint job and that they would repaint and my half of the bill would only be $1200 !!!!! needless to say I turned their offer down and will simply never ever purchase another Honda nor will anyone else in my family !!!!!!

My 2007 Honda Civic's paint started webbing and peeling on the hood and roof over a year ago. Dealer said not covered under warranty but suggested an auto body shop I could go to. Thanks but no thanks. Am not spending over 1,000 dollars for an obvious defect in Honda's paint/primer. No more Honda's for me.my car which I take excellent care of looks horrible.

My paint cracked on my hood, roof and fenders. I did have bird poop eat through the paint on the passenger door. I knew Honda wouldn't cover the bird poop but I wanted to ask about the cracks. Honda service said that my warranty did not cover the cracks from who knows what so I had to file an insurance claim. I had to have all those places on my car painted. I have since researched and found many other people complaining about the paint and having the same issues as me. I believe Honda's paint is defective and should be investigated. I have never had a car's paint be so soft and of poor quality. I paid a lot of money for my car and believe if the paint doesn't hold up then rust will ensue and that is a safety issue. I want this problem addressed. The guy at the body shop said that he had to repaint 4 Honda vans that have the blue paint because the paint was defective. I believe the silver paint is defective and would like someone to investigate this issue. People are buying these cars and believe they are going to last a long time and they are not. My 1992 Honda Accord's paint held up so why isn't my 2007 Civic doing the same? thanks for your time.

I pulled down the sun visor on the passenger side and a few seconds later my husband pulled down his drivers side)visor in our 2007 Honda Civic LX and they both cracked and wouldn't go back up. This obstructed our view and made it difficult for him to see the road while driving and posing a safety hazard.

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Civic hybrid. While driving 25 mph, the safety splash shields that protect the undercarriage of the vehicle detached and were dragging on the ground. The splash shields were destroyed and replaced. The failure recurred with a second shield and it was replaced as well. The dealer stated that the cause of the failures was due to striking bumps on the ground when driving the vehicle. The contact stated that it was hazardous to drive the vehicle. The dealer advised him to be careful while driving. The failure mileage was 20,000 and current mileage was 36,000. Updated 01/14/09. Updated 01/15/09.

Car: Honda 2007 Civic si complaint: Car has been driven normally. Excessive inner tire wear on rear wheels eats tires to the threads. Tire must be inspected closely since most of it will appear with plenty of tread. This is a safety issue and Honda has already issued a service bulletin on many 2006/2007 Civic (but this excludes the si). The problem is identical on the si but Honda will not cover it as a defect. Honda refuses to acknowledge that this is an issue with the 2007 Civic si.

I leased a 07 Honda Civic; I am having my vehicle repaired due to water damage. This is the third time I have to have this vehicle repaired due to a water leak into the cabin of the vehicle. The first 2 occurrences were covered by mfg warranty. The third occurrence is being attributed to high standing water and is not covered. The first occurrence of this issue was in 08/07, 5 months after I leased the vehicle. No leaks were found at that time, the carpeting and padding was replaced under mfg warranty. The second occurrence was in 07/08 the initial assessment was the vehicle was in high standing water. Additional tests were run and leaks were found and repaired. The carpeting and the padding were replaced under mfg warranty. The third occurrence was in 9/08. The same reason was used that the vehicle was in high standing water. This occurrence will not be covered by mfg warranty. I am working with my insurance company to have the vehicle repaired. My complaint is it has been established that this vehicle has historical issues with water leaking. The dealership identified and repaired some of the issues. The third time it has happened and now it will not be covered. I am on my own and Honda is taking no responsibility for this issue. I will now have to pay my deductible and my insurance rates will increase as a result of this claim. I am not sure what I am to do the next time it rains hard and the floorboard of my vehicle is soaked again.
