I was in the dealership on January 17, 2011 for an oil change and car inspection. My brakes showed as 6mm according to my receipt. On February 22, 2011- they needed to be replaced. Explain that! It only has 21,000 miles on it- this seems excessive and quite quick to have to be replaced. I've owned the car for 1 year and 2 months- so it wasn't covered under a brake warranty because it was beyond the 1 year! How convenient. I was advised that this is becoming a noticable problem- however, Honda won't do anything about it or submit a recall. So instead- I'm expected to pay for new brakes how often now? Unacceptable.

After owning a Nissan for 6 years and not having to take it in once for repairs other than normal maintenance and had to replace my front brake pads at 68,000 miles, I am in shock that I am having to replace my front brake pads at not even 12,000 miles. After reading other complaints, I am sure this will at some point be recalled but until then...

Honda would not acknowledge responsibilty under the Warranty. Then, ten (10) after being aware that the repair had been made Dealer offers to handle. We want to be reimbursed since the Service Department said it would not be covered by Warranty.

The Service Associate siad that the "car is unsafe and shouldn't be driven". We had a 3rd party review and then had Brake Masters fix the brakes.

Then recently, Honda rejected responsibility under the Warranty since we had it repaired when 7 other Honda locations were available!! We had already been rejected and we were supposed to drive around to 7 other dealers for opinions.

Because of the condition of the brakes, we had someone look at it (confirming the situation), then we called around for pricing and finally decided to go with Brake Masters. Why would we drive miles for Honda not to cover their Warranty again.
