Civic EX 4 Cyclender

  • Automatic transmission
  • 18,500 miles

I bought this car used. The radio beeps on and off for no reason. Honda claims its the carplay with apple. The AC went out 2 months after the warranty ended. The car only has 18,500 miles on it. This seems to be an issue with many. FYI-we heard a sound like air blowing through a straw months before but it was winter time.

Update from Jun 29, 2019: Honda replaced the Compressor, Condensor, coil set, clutch set, 2 O rings and refrigerant. $1700. Make sure you get the extended warranty before buying.

There is NO reason for this to fail with 18,500 miles and 3 years.

hvac ducts makes an annoying whistling sound

There is a really annoying whistling sound coming from the HVAC duct. I told Honda about it and because there is so much work (time) involved that Honda came up a easy and inexpensive solution. They told me "Those are the characteristics of the new 2016 Honda Civic. This is part of the design of the vehicle." which aka "It is what it is now f-off and leave me alone" Well that's Honda's innovative solution to this very annoying deficiency. They refuse to even look into it. BUYER BEWARE OF THIS VEHICLE. Not only am I witnessing Honda's quality going down the tubes, but I am also witnessing how Honda screws it's paying customers.

"The true colors of a company is how they treat you after you give them your money...not before" Anthony F.

If you notice the complains on the 2016 Civic at around 96 for a 10 month period that it's been on sale to the consumer. The 2016 Civic has 116 which is only 20 more but with over 10 years more time. That should tell you something about this car.

standard whistling noise without customers consent

Honda has installed a whistling HVAC into my new car without my consent. I told them I didn't order this very annoying in which you call a "standard feature' which was not also stated as a standard feature in any of your ads or brochures. I told Honda to please remove the whistling noise but they told me that it was to expensive to remove so I would have to live with it through out the duration of the ownership of my vehicle. They told me "It's just the normal characteristics of all vehicles now produced. It's totally normal and because I now have your money, I will ignore you going forward." I told them I have never heard any car whistle so loud as mine but now that they have my money, they failed to reply to my comments and complaints. BUYER BEWARE OF HONDA'S NEW IMMORAL WARRANTY POLICY TACTICS. FOR HONDA...WORDS (EXCUSES) ARE MUCH PROFITABLE THAN ACTUALLY REPAIRING THE DEFICIENCY. YOU HAVE NOW BEEN INFORMED SO YOU CAN'T SAY YOU DIDN'T KNOW LATER.
