Bought the car in 2009, first at 80k miles had to have the IMA battery replaced due to corrosion, luckily it was under warranty so no cost to fixing it. Since then we had noticed the gas mileage decreases, got around 35mpg at the best, 32 at the worst. We have to drive a lot since we live in the country so its far no matter where we go. Last week I was driving the car and it started to go "put put put", I thought at first it was the wet roads as the traction control sometimes makes the car jumpy feeling, but then the check engine light, IMA, and battery light all came on at the same time! The car died on me. I was able to restart it but could tell something was seriously wrong. Met up with the hubby who was running errands and he "drove" the car to the dealership to get it looked at. There was no power at all! Had to drive all in town roads and had to put it in neutral at each stop to keep the RPM up but not too high. The dealer called and said it was the Motor Relay Sensor- $1400 to fix as the warranty was up. Got the car back last night- apparently it costs so much because the transmission has to be taken out..which leads to the next stuff... So got the car back last night and noticed the mpg was reading at like 42 which was awesome considering what we had gotten. I filled up with gas this morning and we drove it to town and it was still saying 43mpg... but then when we went to start the car it died on us. It started back up and we had no problems except we noticed the heater was not working (I had already called the dealership about this and have an appointment set up for tomorrow), the dealer said its most likely a cable or something that didn't get connected right. Well onto tonight, hubs was driving it to work and it flashed hot at him several times but then cooled right down, the air coming out of the vents (though not turned on) was burning hot... will have to see what Honda says about this! But since it was working fine until they "fixed" it... I think perhaps they screwed something up "fixing" it...

My wife lost all the lights on the dash and all throttle response. She got it pulled off the road, let it set for awhile and restarted it. Everything was fine.It is a good thing she was on a lightly traveled road at the time and not in the Chicago area roads at that time. It could have created a huge problem just trying to get off the road
