Fit EX V4

  • CVT transmission

The splash guard came of first time around 16000 miles and rattled on road. Dealership found screw missing and added screw free of cost. After 22K it again came off and tore due to road speed.

9/21/2015 -I heard a annoying noise coming from underneath my 2015 Honda Fit. The mileage was 6666 which is low. I purchased the vehicle in Feb 2015. I took the car to the Honda dealer and they said the skid plate was missing 2-bolts. The tech installed 2-bolts.

2/4/2016 - I heard loud noise underneath my car while driving so I went to the same Honda dealer. They inspected the damage under the vehicle skid plate. The tech inspected the vehicle and found the splash shield/skid plate was damage not severe and Found Two missing Screws from the splash shield. They installed the two missing screws(same location). I splash shield was damage due to the loose screws which cause the plastic skid plate to drag on the road during normal operations. The Honda Dealer did did not want to replace the defect splash shield.

2/4/2016 - I phoned American Honda and talked with filed a complaint. They replaced the slash guard One Time Goodwill.

Cheap plastic parts do not hold up. Honda Techs say it`s because of where I live, but cars that are not road worthy for standard roads in an area should not be sold in that area. Several other people have told me they also have the same problem. Honda here rips you off, so I have to get the part shipped to me and have someone else install it.
