The vehicle has a defective part, as Honda has admitted in the recall letter. Low hardness on the drive shaft pulley. Their fix is to reprogram the computer so as to relieve stress on the defective part, as it's failure could cause an accident due to loss of power or wheel lockup. I do not wish to have my torque values decreased on my car so that it is less powerful than when purchased. This is (hypothetically) like saying 'your drive train cannot withstand the stresses of your 6 cyliinder engine, so we will replace it with a 4 cylinder. This is not what I paid for. Also, this fix does not guarantee that the defective part will not break even after the fix. I would like to know if there is a class action law suit active on this problem. I would be surprised if there isn't, although I imagine most people don't understand how the computer 'fix' is affecting their vehicle.
