problem #3

Odyssey EX-L 3.5L 6 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

Left side passenger sliding door just stopped working one day. I tried to look up how to fix it but it required me to take off the door panels and/or remove some panels from the back trunk area and at the time, I didn't have the money or time to attempt it since it might not be a for sure fix in the first place. So we've adapted and only use the passenger side sliding door and hope like hell that one doesn't mess up too or I'll have to load all the kids through the trunk and we already get weird looks from the neighbors..

$931 for two "rollers" . I had an extended warranty that is still in effect, but the dealer told me that the rollers weren't covered! Had to pay out of pocket for a defect that I know has happened to many others. We had the problem when the car was about a year old, also. The door would stick and couldn't be opened or shut easily. They fixed it that time. This time the door wouldn't shut at all and would fly open when driving. The right hand sliding door couldn't be opened at all, so the kids had to go in the front doors and climb into the back. This problem should be covered under ANY warranty as it is a defect of the van. Very frustrating.
