Have had extensive issues from Honda of America and local dealerships regarding the status of the Odyssey's safety. This van has had issues since new that Honda has consistently attempted to avoid dealing with. Vehicle at low speeds has suddenly heavy and troublesome steering affected steering response and vehicle direction when turning. Brake pedal feel when slowing in any forward/reverse direction is unresponsive increasing stopping distance and affecting emergency maneuvers. Dealership/ Honda has not and will not accept liability!

On October 16, 2013, my Honda accelerated at a fast speed up my driveway and caused $6,178.37 in repair costs and slammed into my front porch. The brakes did not work to stop the car. We immediately informed Honda and our insurance carrier of the accident, and the car was towed to Honda in old bridge, NJ, as it could not be driven due to damage. On 11/15/2013, see claims summary, Honda could not determine if this an acceleration issue. They never informed us of what the issue was. Honda did not provide me with a rental car, so I had to rent a car from 10/21/13 to 11/26/13, which I paid $603.96 out of pocket (receipts enclosed). The amount of time Honda was way too long fix my car and I had pay additional rental costs due to their unreasonable delay. Shortly, after Honda repaired my car, I received a recall notice that the brakes were recalled. Really? this is why my car would not stop. There have been several recalls on my Honda. A year after purchase, the engine broke down. I wrote to NJ attorney general, who wrote back and asked that I write to you. I am also attaching pictures of the accident. There are tire marks in the driveway due to the high speed of the acceleration. Photos fluids running down my driveway, and the damaged front end. I have also enclosed NJ manufacturer's, copy of the claim summary dated 11/15/13. This matter is very upsetting to me and the way it was handled by Honda. My husband, also purchased a new Pilot, and my Honda were both purchased new at the same Honda. I know there are acceleration issues with this Honda and this was an acceleration issue and a mechanical issue on the fault of the brakes I am requesting to be reimbursed for the car rental, insurance deductible and a refund of the cost I paid for the Honda in the amount of $28,931.46. My car has never driven the same since the accident.

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Odyssey. While driving, the vsa warning indicator illuminated. In addition, the brake pedal felt "spongy" when depressed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (victory Honda of sandusky, 2301 hayes ave, sandusky, oh 44870) where it was diagnosed that the vsa module failed and needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired due to the part cost. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 13V500000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.

I was driving and all of a sudden the brakes just lost power and I had to press the brake very firmly to feel any actual braking happen. The rotors and pads were replaced about 200 miles ago and the entire brake system flushed due to previous issue of a very spongy or soft brake pedal. The vehicle's brake failure started at the end of a 50 mile commute at as I got off the freeway and approached a red light it took twice-three times the normal distance to stop going about 40 mph.

2007 Honda Odyssey ABS braking system is soft with low pedal. Difficult to stop the vehicle at times, frequent problems for last several years. Even after recalls for faulty seals in the brake master cylinder years ago and then the recall for the vsa modulator. Bumped garage door while pulling in! dealer said: Faulty ABS modulator.

When I am driving my van at about 65 and above and when I hit the brake the steering wheel starts to vibrate very badly. This does not happen I am driving at less than 60 mph. Every time this happens, I feel like I might crash into other vehicles or run off the road due to the vehicle becoming very unstable. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership several times but they test drive it and say that there is no issues.

When going fast speeds 50mph + and then braking the vehicle shakes as if your going to flip and lose control. I can stop at a slow pace and it still shakes controllably. The rotors are warped so bad and shouldnt be doing this. This is very unsafe..

When the incident first occurred the vibrating was not as severe. Now when I am going at over 50mph and I start braking, the car's steering wheel starts shaking violently. I did some research and found that the rotors are warped prematurely. Many other owners of the same car have the issue. I am afraid of getting into a car accident because of the steering wheel shaking so violently while I am driving. Its a very big safety concern for me and I wish that Honda recalls these cars for this problem.

A day after and going forward from purchasing my 2007 Honda Odyssey ex-L soft brake, pedal going all the way to ground before stopping when driving 5 to 55 mph. Martin main line Honda service representative said this is normal. I disagree. I am concern with my safety and others who will be in the van with me.

This has to do with the recent recall regarding the master brake cylinder. The car was recently taken into the local Honda dealer. Ever since this recall was completed, I've felt (and sometime heard) a slight "buzz" when first touching the brake pedal. The "buzz" is a vibration, which is felt in the first few seconds after application and immediately disappears if braking is held, or released. It may again appear if the pedal is depressed, but not always. Braking feels normal with no other events. It has not gotten worse or disappeared. Please call for further questions or comments. Thank you.

The brakes suddenly hardened and would not engage while going downhill. This problem was first noticed in. I took the vehicle to woodland hills keyes Honda and learned that the brake power booster was defective. This same vehicle was the subject of a recall of the master cylinder. Based on Honda's recommendations, the power brake booster is to be replaced if there is any leak. It is my position, that the master cylinder upon determining that it was leaking as implicit in the recall required that the power brake booster be replaced. Had this been replaced there would not have been a failure to the power brake booster.

Was driving on highway about 20 miles from home. I got up to about 45 miles, the vehicle brakes on its own slowing down the vehicle. It lasted about two seconds and it happened 4 times on the way home in a 5 minute time period.. then the rest of the way home everything was ok and the vehicle did not brake on its own.
