The contact owns a 2009 Honda Ridgeline. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 40 mph, the vehicle was hesitating and the engine revved causing the vehicle to stall as an unknown warning light illuminated. The vehicle was unable to restart. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the radiator, the trans cooler line and the transmission fluid needed to be replaced. One day I was using the A/C and everything was fine. After my work shift I tried to kick on the A/C system and nothing happens. The screen indicates that everything is working, however, even with the fan dial on full. Nothing is flowing through the vents. I had the Honda dealership take a look and they told me the harness was fried and that it would be $900 to fix it, when my car payment is $600. They also told me that this was a common issue in 2006 and 2007 models and recalls have been issued for both years. I asked them why has the problem not been fixed before the 2008 models were released. They told me to ask Honda... this is a complete and utter disappointment. How does a known problem in previous models not been fixed before the release of future models and why hasn't Honda taken time to recall the trucks or offer a free fix.
