Azera LX 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 54,000 miles

Extremely dangerous situation...Driver seat back and / or seat bottom automatically moves forward to its full forward condition causing me to be pinned against the steering wheel while driving! Has happened at least 10 times in last 45 days. Is there a recall yet as I'm sure someone will be injured soon.

Azera Limited 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 93,000 miles

This is a major safety concern. While driving the back rest section of the seat adjusts forward in essence pinning the driver against the steering wheel. Has happened on a few occasions without any indication it was going to happen. Nearly caused an accident twice.

Brought it to my local Hyundai's attention - they confirmed there has not been a recall. Therefore I would have to pay for the cost of fixing the switch. Quoted $344. In researching this problem online - I did find that this is an occurring problem happening more and more with Azera's that have over 50,000 miles. Very disappointed Hyundai is not taking any responsibility for sharing the cost. Knowing this is a problem and not taking responsibility may lead to lawsuits down the road - especially if someone is injured in an accident as a result of this problem.
