The EPS light and the power steering not working has been very bad and not able to drive the car in the condition. the cost highlighted by the showroom is if module fault - Rs. 8,000/- if Motor fault - Rs. 18,000/- if both Rs. 26,000/- + Additionally Rs. 4,000/- That's sounds absurd

and not sure if it is a manufacturing defect as from the time the car was bought from the show room the EPS light used to be on and go off. it was weird and had reported it during the first service and Trident showroom had told us nothing to worry and the light would go off after some time.

But now the light is on since a month and the cost highlighted by the service center.

eps - electronic power system suddenly stopped working

Last Friday (22/02/2016) I was driving my Hyundai EON, which was manufactured in the year of 2012 June. Only with 3 & 1/2 years of age, my Car's EPS - Electronic power steering stopped working. On taking it to the Authorized service center (in Tangra area), they reported that the electronic power steering, which is a rare parts, got completely damaged.. :(. I really wonder how come a electronic power steering system can get damaged in so early age of the CAR? Is it a manufacturing defect, that is goig to happen with all the eon cars?
