Genesis Coupe 2L Turbo

So. I drove to my job in the morning, was a regular day. Got back in the evening, got in my car tried to turn it on with no success. I thought weird, the engine is turning but not firing. I thought it was my fuel pump again, since the last time this happened it was the problem and replaced under warranty. After 2 tries it turns on. No lights, no noise, NOTHING!! Drive home and everything is fine.

Next morning it would not start at all. Got a tow to take it to my mechanic, which has been looking after it for me. I told him check the pump I think it's gone again. I get a call later that day and he told me to sit down. They plugged in the odb reader and said they got the worst codes you can get with an engine, and that I need a new engine.

The mechanics in the shop know how well I take care of this car. Never missed an oil change, No mods done, it looks brand new. They were crushed when they found this out, nobody could believe this. Took it to Hyundai dealer, the bill started out at $2000 with replacing cables and machining the head. Then $2500 to replace the pump. Then finally $5000 to replace cams and other parts. So they basically rebuilt it.

I fought the warranty and asked if they could assist, because this shouldn't be happening on an engine that has 93000 mm on it. They said it's not a common issue and that it's too far out of warranty... This is the genesis brand!!!! I found out that Hyundai will not stand behind their product.

The gentleman I spoke too at Hyundai Canada even said that this shouldn't be happening, had them review my case again and they again rejected to assist. I love this car and it is the best far I ever owned. It's just sad that Hyundai wouldn't stand behind their product, if this is an engine that hasn't had problems (so they say) them isn't that more of a reason to look further into this and possibly assist?!?!?
