My 2014 Hyundai Sonata caught fire, with little warning, while driving down the interstate. My husband and I heard a noise that sounded like a piece of loose plastic. My car was in excellent condition and well cared for, so I was doubtful it was anything loose. By the time I tried to pull over, the car shut itself off and the dash lights all came on at once. Prior to that, no warning. Once we pulled over, my husband had me pull the hood latch. Visible fire from below so we called 911. The fire quickly raged through the entire car. The fire department was not able to save the car. This happened a week ago and after numerous calls to Hyundai, nothing. We lost the car and the entire contents. The engine had an extended warranty due to the known issues. I am beyond devastated and now cannot even get a call from Hyundai. Does anyone have any suggestions??
