XG350 HG350 L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 105,000 miles

I purchased a 2005 with 24,000 miles 2007 and thought it to be a good auto - a Hyundai XG350L. I've had very little problems with it but now it can't be driven due to a rusted cracked under carriage. If I hit a bump in the road it could further crack and could loose steering thus putting my life and others in danger. The good news is that it is repairable at an estimated 1,000 to 2,500 dollars. I understand there is a recall on the rusting cracking carriage up to 2004 - but what can be done for a recall of the 2005 Hyundai XG350L? Don't we count?

XG350 L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 140,000 miles

I took my car to the service department for a separate issue, only to learn that my car is "not driveable" due to a corroded frame. The 2001-2004 XG350 cars have been recalled for this issue, but somehow the 2005 model year was not included. I moved from Iowa not even a year ago - and the car was a one-owner vehicle before I bought it in Iowa. This extremely-expensive "repair" is NOT my fault, yet somehow it's the exact same issue every other XG350 has! The Hyundai customer line was not helpful so I will be submitting a complaint through the Better Business Bureau about this issue in the hopes that Hyundai owns up to THEIR issue and fixes it. Just because I lived in a "salt state" does not mean I should have an unsafe and undriveable car!
