problem #1

Xcent S(O) 1.1L Diesel

  • Manual transmission
  • 10,563 miles

Bought this Xcent in June/July and since then I noticed this issue and still suffering because of this. The seat design is very bad and because of this I am constantly having back and neck pain.

Initially I though the seat back support must have got bent to some angle and that is why I am not sitting correctly and so having problem. I went to service center and they claimed that everything is okay. But after so much of discussion, they finally removed the seat for thorough inspection.

We got the complete core bare skeleton of the seat. The issue was clearly visible.

On one side (driver side seat, right side of the back support) there was a thick metal sheet that started from very top and bend inwards. But on the left side there was just a thin rod that started little down and was just there.

Now because of the metal sheet which started on top and turned inwards, my bad was always resting on the top part and bent left. Because of the unconsciously I was always pushing my self to right. This is causing a lot of back and neck problem.

There is another steering problem with this car. because of these 2 issues I want to sell this car, but because I paid lot of money, I want Hyundai to fix this and I dont want to go in loss.

I wil upload the pics later.
