G35 Coupe 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 130,000 miles

My brother gave to me the car because it has no steering wheels control and he wants cruise controls so badly so he got a new car. When I got the car and I quickly knew what is going on because a few weeks before I was watching ChrisFix about the issue and amazingly I remember about it so I replaced it myself. It wasn't that pain in the ass. It took me around 30 mins to replace it. Don't bring it to the mechanic place. Replace it yourself because it is so simple to do. Just follow ChrisFix to do it unless you don't feel like doing it. If you bring to a dealership or mechanic place and it would cost you around 400$ to 1000$ depends on companies. I replaced it myself and only cost me around 120$ for the clockspring. The horn fuse may be blown due to the short circuit when you blow the horn and the clockspring has a short circuit. The fuse for horn is in the engine bay, keep it in mind if the horn didn't work when you replaced the clockspring. I am also 16 years old and it is my first car to work on which I am learning from ChrisFix. Save money to spend on something you enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions!

G35 X 3.5L V6

I was told by the dealership that the spiral cable behind the airbag is damaged, therefore the controls on the steering wheel won't work. they said that is a common problem of those cars.
