The interior paint/seal used to coat the accessories like steering wheel, door side arm rests (near control buttons) melts and rubs/scratches off which leaves the interior looking like a mess. This happens when the car gets hot, but living in Texas (or most states that get warm during the summer), there is no way to avoid having the interior of your car heat up because of the elements.

On hot days this will cause the paint/sealant to bubble as it melts so you will have problems even if the interior is untouched while warm. This problem began when the car was less than a year old and has continued throughout its use.

It should be considered a manufacturer defect since the owner has no control or way to avoid this. And to be honest, car interiors heat up to 120+ degree temperatures in the sun, and there is no way to keep this from happening aside from keeping a car in an air conditioned garage. That should have been considered when designing the vehicle interior.

This defect should be repaired free of charge, no questions asked by the manufacturer.
