Commander V81j8hh48n26c212658

  • Automatic transmission
  • 111,945 miles

Love my Commander, but seems to have problems with the electrical/computer system. Will be driving and all of a sudden all the lights on dash start to flash. Then they go out. Later they start flashing again. Then car stops working and cuts off. Very dangerous. I can restart after I put in "P"., and luckily haven't been hit.

This is not the 1st time or 2nd, or 3rd or 4th or 5th, etc. Took it in to a garage many times and they said if the light aren't on when it's here, we can't do anything about it. So for months I had to drive it around, never knowing. Finally, the lights were on and I was close to garage. Yea!!!! They said it was computer related. All has been good for a little while, but it's starting again. So very dangerous, my daughter hates to ride with me.

The dash lights, radio, fan for A/C heat.... flash! The headlights occassionally join in. This is very unsafe! I have found that if I wiggle my key, it stops! Crazy!

Commander Limited V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 75,000 miles

When driving down the road all the dash lights will start flickering on and off. (Headlights will do the same). I bought this limited, leather interior, luxury vehicle with hopes of not having a lot of problems. The vehicle drives nice but cosmetic and electrical problems. NEEDS TO BE RECALLED!

I called about this hoping it had a recall and even though my vehicle has ALL the problems listed under recalls my VIN number does not match their records.

Auto shop can't seem to diagnose the problem. This has since caused our hvac fan assembly to burn out. There is no rhyme or reason for the problem. It will randomly start flashing the lights, warning signals and all dash lights for no reason. Can we say lemon?
