Compass Limited 2.4ll 4 cyl

  • CVT transmission
  • 156,020 miles

Started with overheat light on long drives over 30 miles. Had transmission service done new filters (has 2), shortly after started to notice at freeway speeds it appeared to slip in high gear unless you gently eased up to speed within a hundred miles of this it would go into limp mode and then wouldn't shift. Replaced transmission to remedy issue.

Compass North 2.4L

  • Manual transmission
  • 99,026 miles

So I am HIGHLY DISSAPPOINTED in the jeep brand now. I purchased my compass brand new special ordered in 2010. 6 years later my manual transmission went along with the clutch, the front lower control arm,4 rotors, two rear shocks, and front brakes. I took it to the jeep dealership and decided to get a second opinion, just to be sure and ended up having to replace everything as listed above. For a car that is only 6 years old, and yes it does have high km on it but it is all hwy commuting miles; to have this many issues with it after such a short time is appalling. I have taken exceptionally good care of it had all the oil changes and maintenance done on it, and it was always parked in our garage and never taken off road. So for all these things to go wrong at the same time after 6 years I'm not happy and will never buy another jeep again.
